What You'll Do
As a B2B Outside Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for new client acquisition and account management across your territory. You'll work with small business owners, helping them provide supplemental benefit solutions to their employees at no cost to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new business accounts through face-to-face interactions and territory management in your local area (no leads provided)
- Set appointments with business owners and decision-makers through business development activities
- Present worksite benefit solutions in group presentations with employees
- Conduct one-on-one enrollment meetings to explain coverage options and close deals
- Manage client accounts and maintain relationships using a custom CRM
- Build long-term client relationships while staying driven to get results
- Generate referrals and repeat business as your book of business grows
Training
Sales training is hands-on and in the field.
You'll work with a field trainer in your territory who will teach you prospecting, appointment setting, presentations, closing techniques, follow-up strategies, and how to get referrals from clients.
Over time, your business shifts from winning new clients to repeat business, re-enrollments, and referrals.
You'll also be trained on using the client's proprietary CRM to organize and manage prospecting and follow-up activities.
Data and metrics will be used to provide personal 1:1 coaching on a weekly and monthly basis.
Weekly sales training calls include interviews with top salespeople across the country to share best practices and encourage collaboration within the agency.
